Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a Zone Manager to join our team at the Atlanta International Airport, in Atlanta, GA.  This is a frontline leadership position within the AAT project responsible for overseeing all reactive maintenance operations occurring within an assigned geographic “zone” consisting of multiple concourses at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Zone Manager provides daily direction, coordination, and quality oversight to ensure rapid and effective response to customer-reported issues, operational disruptions, and unplanned maintenance needs within the zone.

This position requires maintaining strong communication with frontline teams, client representatives, and airport stakeholders while ensuring compliance with safety initiatives and the AAT project’s ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. Work is primarily performed on-site during normal business hours; however, night, weekend, and extreme weather support may be required to maintain service continuity.

Essential Job Functions

1. Ensure all team members within the zone follow BeyondZero health, safety, environmental, sustainability, and required safety training standards during reactive maintenance operations.

2. Participate in daily client communications and oversee the investigation and resolution of immediate issues that may arise following such communications.

3. Oversee daily reactive maintenance response, ensuring prompt dispatch, prioritization, resource coordination, and customer communication for unplanned work.

4. Serve as the primary on-site leader for trade and vendor personnel performing reactive repairs and troubleshooting within assigned concourses.

5. Identify out-of-scope projects within the zone and coordinate with the respective Trade Superintendent.

6. Monitor real‑time work order activity and coordinate with Trade Superintendents to ensure timely, accurate completion of work orders and all required documentation. Proactively generate work orders for issues identified within the zone.

7. Conduct routine field presence through inspections, walk-throughs, and direct engagement with technicians to validate repair quality and operational readiness.

8. Coordinate with the Operations Manager to communicate emerging issues, repeated failures, operational risks, or resource constraints affecting the zone.

9. Lead initial incident reviews, support root cause investigations, and implement corrective guidance with a focus on improving response and service continuity. Coordinate with the Quality Manager on the 8D problem‑solving process to identify service interruption impacts, root causes, and corrective actions.

10. Assist in troubleshooting complex operational problems impacting systems and equipment within the zone, providing technical direction to maintenance teams.

11. Support manpower planning and resource deployment to ensure adequate staffing levels for reactive response, including extreme weather operations and airport events.

12. Drive customer service excellence by ensuring timely communication, professional conduct, and consistent delivery of high‑quality repair services.

13. Coach, mentor, and support technicians and frontline personnel to reinforce best practices, technical competency, and teamwork within the zone.

Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and we’ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the world’s most challenging Facilities Services projects, together.
