About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Clerk Typist to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth administrative operations. The Clerk Typist will support various departments by handling data entry, document preparation, and general clerical tasks, helping to keep our workflows running seamlessly.
## Key Objectives
* Accurately type and prepare a variety of documents and correspondence.
* Maintain organized records and files for easy retrieval and reference.
* Support administrative staff with data entry and clerical duties.
* Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy.
## Responsibilities
* Type letters, reports, memos, and other documents from handwritten or electronic sources.
* Enter data into databases and maintain accurate records.
* Organize and file documents to maintain an efficient filing system.
* Answer phones and direct calls or take messages as needed.
* Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
* Perform routine clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth office operations.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
## Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Proven experience as a clerk typist or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
* Excellent typing skills with a minimum speed of 50 words per minute.
* Strong knowledge of office software including MS Word, Excel, and email platforms.
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
* Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, scanners, and fax machines.
