Here’s our Current Opening:

Position: Warehouse Attendant (Part-time, hourly)

Reports to: Manager, Buffalo Warehouse

Division: Distribution

Location: 2250 Military Road, Tonawanda, NY

Here’s what you’ll be doing….

Receives merchandise from carriers and prepares orders for shipping, processes returned stock, checks inventory and assists in maintaining product/inventory records.

The position requires an individual to work 20 hours weekly Monday - Friday. During peak periods hours may increase to 30 hours weekly. The hourly rate is $18.00.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive merchandise from carriers
• Prepare deliveries for shipping
• Store and maintain stock in an orderly fashion
• Use AS/400-based system to process returns (training provided)
• Oversee all warehouse activity in the absence of the Warehouse Manager
• Performs other related duties as required

Here’s what we are looking for:Education, Qualifications and Experience:

· High school graduate or equivalent experience

2 years’ warehouse and shipping/rreceiving experience

· Move cartons/product weighing up to 40 pounds

· Forklift certification/experience required

About our Distribution team

The Distribution Division is based at 5201 Dufferin Street, in Toronto and provides shipping, receiving and storage for the University of Toronto Press and approximately 40 independent publishers. Normal operations for the facility is 16 hours a day, 5 days a week, and is staffed by more than 100 full and part-time, warehouse and office employees.
