J.S. Held is hiring a Senior Technical Director to join its Environmental & Risk Advisory Service Line, focusing on waste management, remediation, corrective action, and environmental liability advisory services, including remediation strategy, regulatory negotiation, and cost‑to‑closure evaluation. This role supports industrial, insurance, legal, and transactional clients addressing complex soil, groundwater, sediment, and waste‑related challenges under federal and state regulatory frameworks. In addition to remediation and corrective action work, the role may involve transaction‑driven environmental due diligence, redevelopment and brownfield support, long‑term remediation program management, and advisory support related to environmental claims and remediation cost evaluation.
This is a senior seller‑doer role requiring the ability to independently originate, develop, and sustain client relationships while also serving as a technical and project leader. The successful candidate is expected to bring an established network of client relationships and demonstrate a consistent ability to convert those relationships into awarded work. A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $145,000.00 - $170,000.00. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
