Production / Woodshop Associate – Case & Crate Assembly

Location: Newark, CA

Pay: $22–$27 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 3:30 PM-11:00PM

About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Production / Woodshop Associateto support case and crate building operations in a fast-paced woodshop environment. This hands-on position is responsible for assembling custom wooden cases and crates, foam fabrication and assembly, material handling, quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, eager to learn, and capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative production team.

Responsibilities

• Build wooden cases and crates according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Perform foam assembly and packaging preparation as required
• Handle and move materials throughout the production process
• Conduct quality checks during all phases of assembly to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Properly use, care for, and maintain hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Report equipment malfunctions, damaged tools, or safety concerns to the supervisor
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements
• Quickly learn new processes and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience in a woodshop, manufacturing, production, packaging, or assembly environment preferred
• Ability to safely lift, carry, move, and handle materials throughout the workday
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Basic familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Ability to work safely in a production and woodshop environment
