Job Description

Job Title: Order Puller
Job Description

This role focuses on accurately pulling, cutting, and packaging cable orders in a growing startup warehouse environment. You will work from pick sheets to retrieve stock cable, measure and cut required lengths, and prepare finished spools for shipment while maintaining precise inventory records. As part of a small team in a new facility, you will also support various warehouse operations and adapt to changing needs as the location expands.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily pick sheets or order sheets and accurately pull the correct spools of stock cable from inventory.
  • Measure and cut cable to the exact lengths specified on the pick sheets and load the cut cable onto blank spools.
  • Verify that the cable length and product details match the customer order before packaging.
  • Package finished spools using shrink wrap and prepare them for shipping as needed.
  • Record and clearly mark the remaining amount of cable on stock spools before returning them to inventory.
  • Use warehouse computer systems to print out orders and update order status as required.
  • Assist with shipping tasks and general warehouse operations, including inventory-related activities.
  • Wear multiple hats and help in other areas of the warehouse as needed, supporting a startup environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following warehouse procedures.
Essential Skills
  • At least 3 years of warehouse experience.
  • Proven experience pulling orders using pick sheets or order sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and correct order fulfillment.
  • Ability to use computers to access the warehouse system and print out orders.
  • Experience with order pulling and inventory-related tasks.
  • Ability to support shipping activities in a warehouse setting.
  • Willingness to assist in multiple areas and adapt to changing operational needs in a startup environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior experience as an order puller in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with basic inventory tracking and stock management practices.
  • Comfort working in a small team where responsibilities may shift as the operation grows.
  • Ability to learn and use warehouse systems and tools quickly.
Why Work Here?

You will join a startup warehouse at a new location that is poised for rapid growth and expansion. As part of a small core team, you will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and grow with the operation. As the warehouse expands, there will be clear opportunities to move into lead or supervisor roles. This environment rewards initiative, flexibility, and a willingness to contribute in multiple areas, offering strong potential for career development.

Work Environment

You will work in a very large, non–air-conditioned warehouse alongside a small team of approximately four people. The setting is a startup operation, so you can expect a hands-on environment where you may handle various tasks beyond your primary duties. The role involves working around cable spools, shrink-wrapping equipment, and using computers to manage orders. The atmosphere is collaborative and fast-evolving as the location grows and processes continue to develop.
