The Missionary Staff at The Pines Catholic Camp is the core of our year-round retreat ministry. These young adults are the hands and feet of our ministry who share our vision to empower individuals to lead a passionate Christ-centered life with thousands of youth and adults from East Texas. Living in a Catholic community, these individuals collaborate with others to implement enriching Catholic retreats and programs, contributing to the needs of camp to support the mission while growing in holiness with each other. Our missionaries lead Confirmation, Awakening and Leadership retreats for 8th-12th grade students as well as teaching a hands-on interactive Environmental Education program designed for 5th graders to come to know and experience God through nature. Leading retreats also include facilitating our challenge courses and water activities. Candidates should have a positive relationship with the Catholic Church and be committed to growing in personal prayer, sacrifice, living the Gospel, and sharing in community life. A desire to work directly with youth and to share the joy of the Lord in an outdoor environment is important. We are currently hiring missionaries for our 2026-2027 missionary year. The missionary year runs from August 2026 until May 2027.
