Experienced Heavy Truck Mechanic – Pack Rat Hauling
Location: Leesburg, VA
Position Type: Full-Time
Starting Pay: $30.00/hour (Guaranteed 40+ hours per week)

Pack Rat Hauling, a locally owned and fast-growing hauling company based in Leesburg, VA, is looking for an experienced Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team. We’re seeking a reliable, motivated individual who takes pride in their work and has the skills to keep our fleet running smoothly and safely.

This role is ideal for a skilled mechanic who can diagnose, repair, and maintain Heavy trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles. Candidates must supply their own tools. Experience with roll-off trucks is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy trucks and other fleet vehicles

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks to keep vehicles in peak condition

• Accurately document all repairs and services performed with a fleet maintenance software

• Communicate effectively with operations team regarding truck readiness and repair timelines

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

• Provide reliable, high-quality service to minimize downtime for the fleet

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a heavy truck mechanic, other diesel experience a plus

• Must provide your own tools

• Knowledge of truck systems (engines, brakes, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)

• Ability to troubleshoot and perform both major and minor repairs

• Roll-off truck repair experience (preferred, but not required)

• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
