POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Client is seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and values-driven Controller to lead our financial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while supporting leadership in making informed business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Leadership & Oversight
    • Manage all accounting operations including AR, AP, payroll, inventory, and general ledger
    • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models
    • Monitor cash flow, margins, and dealership performance metrics
  • Strategic Support
    • Partner with ownership and leadership to guide financial decision-making
    • Provide insights on profitability, cost control, and growth opportunities
    • Support pricing strategies and inventory planning with financial analysis
  • Compliance & Controls
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax requirements, and reporting standards
    • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and processes
    • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
  • Dealership Operations Support
    • Oversee floor plan financing and manufacturer reporting requirements
    • Monitor equipment inventory valuation and turnover
    • Support sales and service departments with financial insights and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience (dealership or inventory-based business experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and floor plan financing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
